Los Angeles opens subsequent cannabis licensing round for 100 retail permits


Los Angeles, the biggest marijuana marketplace in the globe, opened a two-week window on Tuesday for certified social equity applicants interested in having a retail cannabis permit.

The city’s Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) started accepting license applications at 10 a.m. PT Tuesday and will continue till 10 a.m. Sept. 17.

The DCR verified roughly 800 certified applicants for the newest licensing round throughout a prevetting procedure that took more than two months and completed in late July, according to the agency’s site.

Applicants that qualify for the city’s social equity plan will get priority in possessing their applications processed.

But only 100 retail licenses will be awarded throughout the coming application period, and they’ll be out there on a initial-come, initial-served basis, according to the DCR site.

The newest licensing round comes just after two earlier rounds.
